Randy's interests in computers date way back when he was 13. He took a desktop computer apart and put it all back together in his attempt to fix a problem. His interests in computers continued on as he acquired certifications and education while he was in the United States Marine Corp.
Randy later worked as Chief Information Officer for a multinational organization based in New York. In this role, he gained valuable experience in all areas of IT specializing in networks, programming, and data management and security. He also acquired some undergraduate studies and had begun consulting for small-scale contact centers while working for the same NY company. He focused mainly on IT consulting for several clients across US in 2008 when he moved back to North Carolina. In 2015, he, along with his wife, Janice, opened Computer Clinic to provide IT service in his hometown.
Fun fact: Randy is passionate about giving back and is the county coordinator for the Marine Corps Reserve-sponsored non-profit organization called, Toys for Tots. During the last quarter of every year, you will find him fundraising and hauling thousands of toys for the impoverished children of Lincoln County.
Janice, although a Business Management graduate, is not alien to computers herself. While in college, she completed a computer programming summer course and gained experience in computers while fulfilling different roles in the corporate world. She worked in contact center industry carrying out roles in Operations Management and Client Services. She attributes her customer service expertise in her over 10 years of managing sales and customer service teams. Janice later decided to become a full-time entrepreneur after completing her Master’s in Business Administration. Janice enjoys talking to customers and loves it when they leave highly satisfied with their experience.
Fun fact: Janice was born and raised in the Philippines. She fulfills her desire to travel by visiting her siblings and parents who are living in five different parts of the world!
Wesley is one of Computer Clinic’s highly knowledgeable repair specialist. His technical know-how comes from his extensive computer technology training in school combined with hands-on experience fixing his friends and family’s computers since he started his interest in technology. For Wesley, that would be when he was in 7th grade! Wesley’s passion for computers continued in high school. In fact, he led the Computer Engineering Exploration Club for a couple of years while at Highland School of Technology. He is currently taking computer classes online and on campus and is set to earn a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in a couple of years. Wesley is deep into specifics of custom computers and absolutely loves it when we have custom build projects.
Fun fact: Wesley loves to improve and optimize everything. During our down times in our shop, he built a data shredding machine out of an old server. Pretty amazing that he took an obsolete machine from our recycling bin and put it to good use. We can now destroy multiple hard drives for destruction in a matter of hours instead of days!
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
